in a not-so-small way, the soul's journey is about self-discovery. it's about growth through emotionally interacting with life itself, no matter how confronting it might be.
in fact, struggle, disappointment, and heartbreak serve an important purpose within an incarnation journey: they bring our awareness to the areas of ourselves, where we feel wounded, rejected, or ashamed - where we repress aspects of who we are to fit in.
our careers or relationships can be expressions of what we authentically value and desire, but they can also be manifestations of outdated ego narratives, trauma, or societal programs that don't serve our soul's highest expression.
while often difficult to face, these are the karmic themes we came here to explore, heal, and transcend, determining the axis of our souls' ascension, our unique path to self-realization - or in jung's terminology: “becoming who we are“.
once we learn how to process and own the feelings our karmic themes bring up through inner work methods like emotional attunement and shadow work, we reach higher levels of wholeness, clarity, and self-worth through the tremendously healing process of “consciousness defragmentation“ or ego-soul-reintegration.
